The Pirate stared into the dark, wild gray eyes of the mermaid, hovering below the surface. He smiled, wondering why such a beauty would grace him with her presence. She broke the surface, edging closer to him. “Such a beautiful creature.” He murmured.

The mermaid tilted her head curiously and beckoned with her finger for him to come closer. The Pirate leaned closer to her, over the edge of the boat, inches apart. She gripped the lapels of his jacket, pressing her lips to his. The mermaid smirked, pulling the pirate down into the dark waters, drowning her would-be lover.
