Anxiety

Anxiety is the invisible monster

Following my every single step

Treating the outside world as a

Series of disasters out to get me

She whispers in both of my ears,

Reminding me of everything I have to fear

The pain, relationships, school, work

The world is such a scary place to be

She keeps me awake with growling at night,

Lurking beneath my bed, uncomfortable noticed

We think of my future and mistakes of I’ve made

No stone is left unturned when we are together
